CONTENTS: It's Show Time: We check out the best of the best at the 43rd Victorian Hot Rod Show.

PAGE 47: From article: "But there was one rod that needed a second, third and fourth look to fully appreciate the work that had gone into the build. Matt Legh's flat black hi-boy Roadster had most traditionalist rodders scratching their heads trying to work out the theme to which the '33 had been sculptured to. Picture this; a low riding Boydster body coated in flat black with some of the nicest pinstriping we've ever seen. That's where the nostalgia trip ends though with 22-inch and 24-inch Intro billets bolted up to the chromed suspension. Inside, the mixed bag theme continues with trick padded seats moulded into the swooping body. The dash is plain - and by that I mean it's completely void of everything. It was certainly a head turner and one that you'll see in an upcoming issue of Extreme Street."
PAGE 123: "Dare To Be Different - Want to stand out in a crowd? We show you how! Rodders are always pushing the boundaries in style and sometimes practically. Matt from Hot Rod Hi-way had a different way of looking at things with his new ride. The seats consist of a padded base with moulded back supports."

PHOTO CAPTION: "A first this year was an award offered by Holden Genuine Parts and presented by Richard Ferlazzo, Chief Designer at Holden and the man behind the EFIGY concept car. The award was at Richard discretion and the purpose was to acknowledge a vehicle that displayed a unique creativity. Deservedly it went to Matthew Legh for his 1933 Ford roadster. A mix of old with new with matt black finish, pinstriping, inboard front suspension, Halibrand quick change rear, 427 cube small block Chev, Intro 22" and 24" wheels and hand fabricated interior, it wasn't everyones's cup of tea but certainly got everyone's attention."

PHOTO CAPTION: "No it's not unfinished; Matthew legh painted his outrageous roadster matt black to further enhance its appearance. The heavily modified Boydster II body sports 22 and 24-inch wheels, monster brakes, IFS, Halibrand rear and a 550hp, 427ci SB Chev up front. The moulded speedster-style cockpit is augmented by carbon fibre-like vinyl and a tiny digital dash."
Australian Street Rodding April 2008 No 214: Victorian Hot Rod Show page 59
